I figured I'd begin my first post with news on the forthcoming release from Loefah's sick sick label, swamp 81. After having a dark and deadly halfstep release by Kryptic Minds, Loefah follows up with two killer tunes by man of the moment, Skream, whom is again proving to be one of the most innovative producers in the scene. Audio is up on the label's myspace, with both tracks in my opinion clearly demonstrating the dark, stripped back and spacious sounds which are frequently lost in tunes today. A couple months back, Blackdown did a pretty sick write up/interview on Swamp 81, stating Loefah's intentions towards his label. You can check that here. I've always been a fan of Loefah and especially his track selection whenever I've seen him out, definitely buying this follow up release as soon as. Stoked!
On a completely opposite style of dubstep, (for the jump up heads) I'd highly recommend purchasing the latest release from Rottun Recordings. Check previews here, serious next level sickness from Datsik, Excision and Flux Pavillion.
